GNUstep is an effort to recreate the NeXTStep(TM) experience on top of Linux, including all of it's elgence. Rigth now GNUstep is still only really usable for real hard core hackers, but in the future it will be useful for everybody.

Window Maker is an NeXTStep(TM) 3.0 look alike Window Manger, having much of the functionality built in, that made NeXTStep(TM) famous.

GTK+step is an theme engine for gtk+ that makes reguluar old gtk+ and GNOME apps look like real GNUstep applications.
