Xemacs is broken under R5 ("TERM not set")! How do I fix it?

Simple one: with LinuxPPC R5 (aka LinuxPPC 1999), you
need to run an executable that will massage the xemacs
binary to bind with glibc2 C run-time libraries.  Do the
following as root:

# /usr/sbin/fix961212 `which xemacs`

caffeine1@mindspring.com
