RAM disk errors installing pre-R5 on a PowerBook G3 Series
When I boot my screen is covered with io errors from the randisk on device 1:0. This happens using the 2.5MB ramdisk (linuxppc-pre-R5/install/ramdisk.image.gz). However if I use the RedHat ramdisk (linuxppc-pre-R5/install/RedHat/ramdisk.image.gz), it boots. That does not solve my problem since I need to install from FTP since my PowerBook does not have a floppy drive (the RedHat installer asks for a supplemental disk).

I was just able to install pre-R5 on my powerbook by using the install/redhat.image.gz and renaming it to ramdisk.image.gz. It didn't ask me for supplemental disk at all. I didn't know there was a install/RedHat/ramdisk.image.gz... I wonder why they would differ.
