Can XFree86 do video mirroring on a PowerBook G3 (2000)?
I would like to use my PowerBook G3 (2000 series) to do presentations using an LCD projector. When I boot with the projector attached, the projector is activated briefly, then shuts off, and booting takes place on the PowerBook panel screen. If I boot in MacOS, the projector is monitor 2 and the panel display is monitor 1 (this is opposite of what happens with a 1999 Powerbook). I'm running vmlinux-2.2.15pre19 with XFree86 3.3.3.1.
I know that linux can get to the projector, because at the beginning of the boot process, it sends several lines of text to it (they don't last long, so I can't tell you exactly what they say, but it includes "starting a fake screen" or some similar statement). Then it turns off the output to the projector (the projector gets no signal).
Any advice?
