(Answer) (Category) Linux on PowerPC FAQ-O-Matic : (Category) X Windows :
Running X on a Powerbook 2000 (Bronze Keyboard)
To get X up on a powerbook 2000 is a bit more dificult than usual. This is mostly because Xconfigurator won't run (at least not on mine). What you need to do is get a special XF86Config file that can be found at ftp://ftp.linuxcare.com.au/pub/ppclinux/X/ this will either be XF86Config.adbmouse or XF86Config.usbmouse depending of course on which you are using :-) (the internel trackpad is considered a usb device). This also solves the problem with the mouse not working that I have read about here and there.
