(Answer) (Category) Linux on PowerPC FAQ-O-Matic : (Category) Applications :
What's a good file manager for X11/MkLinux?
TkDesk is a very cool graphical file manager. It's a combination of a
file browser, an application bar and a SimpleText-style text editor.
It has too many good features to list here, and it works very well.

The TkDesk homepage is at:

   http://people.mainz.netsurf.de/~bolik/tkdesk/

where you can find source code, complete docs and screenshots. An RPM
package that's ready to install on your MkLinux box is available from
MkArchive. Check out the MkArchive File Index at:

   http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/Linux/mklinux/mkarchive/file/index.html

To use TkDesk, you must also install Tcl (Tool Command Language) and Tk
(TCL Toolkit). These packages are also available in RPM format from
ftp.mklinux.apple.com. TkDesk 1.0b4 requires Tcl 7.5 and Tk 4.1. You
can get these from the Apple MkLinux RPM bin directory at:

   ftp://ftp.mklinux.apple.com/pub/FullRelease/Archives/rpm.bin/

If you have trouble getting TkDesk to work, try the following: delete
the preferences file (.tkdesk) and install the updated version 1.0b4p1
available at frodo.tucc.uab.edu/pub/tkdesk.
