Multiple monitor support?
I have a two-headed PowerCenter 132, and I'd really love to make some use of that second monitor under Linux/PPC... I understand that X11 doesn't yet support multiple monitors, but is it possible to run two separate X servers, one for each display? Does the Linux kernel have any support for multiple monitors? Thanks for any input!

umm... x11 has supported multiple monitors for a long time, and without running two xservers. (i'm typing this on a dual headed sun.) x11 should support it just fine on the mac as long as there are two different and distinct frambuffer devices. you then pass these as arguments to the x server. (and let it know which is left, right, up, down, etc...)
cheers. e

According to http://www.xfree86.org/FAQ/#TwoCards, ...
Q.A15- Can I use more than one video card in the same machine with XFree86?
Although it is technically possible to use multiple PCI-based SVGA cards in the same machine, none of the servers currently support this.
The VGA16 and Mono servers are both capable of running both a VGA compatible card and a non-VGA compatible monochrome card in the same machine.
For XFree86-4.0 we are working on true multi head support.
