(Answer) (Category) Linux on PowerPC FAQ-O-Matic : (Category) Wish List :
Networking iMac over Ethernet to another Mac (TCP/IP?)
I just got LinuxPPC stablely set up on my iMac. I haven't set up much of anything, and I'm not sure where to start when trying to get some files onto my Linux partition from my mac partition. I have another powerbook w/ ethernet hooked to the iMac over a hub at home (small network). I want to know what settings and where to set up the TCP/IP stuff and how to start an ftp server, and how to get the Powerbook configured (TCP/IP) so that I can transfer files.

i need to know!
thnx,

              chas
