(Answer) (Category) Linux on PowerPC FAQ-O-Matic : (Category) Wish List :
Wish i can access me IBM Formated JAZ or please the HFS+ Partitions or do i really need to KILL the HFS+ and use the old space wasting HFS???
No really i spend lot of Time to get running MkLinux and now i can't access me HFS+ and JAZ Drives.
The Problem is i can't even update the vmlinux file or anything else because i can't access any Disk or what ever.
I AM STUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Support for MkLinux seems not to be very well, or where are the updates i got DR3 and its still DR3 here but we have soon 2000 and the DR3 is from 1998....
If Mklinux should be cool add the most FS as possible because such things like unable to mount JAZ or unable to accessing MacOS HFS+ partitions are not the Things that MAC users wants normaly and its like a WALL that makes it impossible to load anything to LINUX.
Once Mklinux is installed you have to live with it, is that all?
I hope not, i hope that there will come very soon the Update to access HFS+, JAZ, ZIP and (USB, IDE, SCSI, Parallel) Devices simply all what i can get running within 2 minutes on a INTEL-PC, because else Linux needs 100 Years to get there where Win95 is now i don't hope so.
I'm a bit dissapointed from Mklinux, especialy the lack of MacOS HFS+ is not acceptable sorry...

Hi, I'm new on Linux (using MkLinux on my 6100....) but i DID notice that it recognised my ZIP-drive (on scsi of course). Then it should probably be able to find a JAZZ drive too and it should be able to mount eiter of them.
Busy with it right now because I can't WRITE to my specially made 200 Meg HFS partion (i can read from it).
I need my ZIP to get data from Linux to Mac..
Frans
I regularly mount my Jaz & Zip disk under HFS format. However I have had no luck with DOS or HFS+ unfortunately...
Hope this helps, Ben
