Why doesn't DHCP work in Linux 4.1?
DHCP may not work on older versions of Linux (v. 4.1 on a Windows NT server for me). The way I fixed it was updating my dhcpcd to the latest version: (ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/linux/linuxppc/linuxppc-1999/software/network).
rpm -U dhcpcd-1.3.17pl2-1.ppc.rpm (or whatever the filename is) and DHCP should work again! Wasn't that easy?
