Due to an overwhelming lack of interest, FSFind has been turned off.
Just as well, since the distributions all come in smaller pieces these
days.

========================================================================
There [used to be] a new service called FSFind which lets you
inspect the guts of one of the standard archive distributions.
You can find out which files are in there, how to remake links,
device special files, and other funny files, and even download
copies of files you're missing.

It's useful for replacing files you've lost or broken, or simply
for seeing where things are using a fast search mechanism. (Although
you can also use the locate command for that; search the faqomatic
for 'locate'.) FSFind is at:

  http://cobweb.dartmouth.edu/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/jonh/fsfind/fsfind.pl

As of this writing, it only has the DR2 distribution in it, but I hope
to change that fairly soon.

If you have space on an ftp site to host an exploded archive,
or if you can suggest an archive that should be searchable by
FSFind, please let me know and we'll add it.
