First, download the latest version of sendmail (8.8.3xx or 4xx).
Install it using rpm -U --force sendmail-8.8.3.ppc.rpm (or similar).
Next, download the Network Administrator's Guide from the Linux
Documentation Project (LDP), print out a copy, dowse it in gasoline or
other extemely flamable substance and proceed to burn it. It helps to
dance around the ashes while muttering vodoo chants. Whatever you do,
do not attempt to learn how to set up mail with this document --> it is
evil.

Now that you have good carma, the following command should do the trick:
sendmail -bd -q 3m
Once sendmail is running in this configuration, you should be able to
send mail from linux based mail programs such as xmail, mail, elm, etc.
The 3m refers to the time between checking the outgoing mail waiting
to be send (I think...). You can change the 3 to whatever you want.
And remember, whatever you do, don't try to decipher the man page, it
would be futile. To retrieve mail, see the the posting on that subject.
