(Answer) (Category) Linux on PowerPC FAQ-O-Matic : (Category) Distributions : (Category) CD:LinuxPPC 1999 Q3: By LinuxPPC Inc. :
Where do I find a kernel for my computer?
Go to the kernel archives at ftp://ftp.linuxppc.org/kernel/ and
read the README file to find one that should work on your hardware.

For the 7200, 8200, 7500 and 8500 you should be able to use the
vmlinux. This is also the one for the PowerComputing clones.

For machines with video card like the 9500, you might have to
wait if your video card is not currently supported.
