How do I install Linux from the Macintosh OS?
You need to download or unstuff the installer.
 Install from CD
or from the net( this might be the easiest as the CD is in a Linux
format not a Mac/OS one.
 Apple Installer
There are several steps involved in installing Linux from the mac/os.
The steps are broken up into separate questions.
 
Step 1: Partition your hard drive
Step 2: Install the BASE.TAR file on the CDROM or if you want to use
	The mach microkernel, use the MACH.TAR file.
Step 3: Install a linux kernel (vmlinuz) for your machine
Step 4: Modify the Open Firmware to boot
 
Reboot, and you should get to the Linux Login Prompt.
