(Answer) (Category) Linux on PowerPC FAQ-O-Matic : (Category) Languages and Compilers :
Where can I find a copy of the powerpc ELF ABI, register usage and calling conventions?
I don't know of any online reference to the "generic" ELF ABI, but
the implementation on powerpc can be found at:

ftp://ftp.linuxppc.org/development/kernel-2.0/sysv_abi.7.25.gz

or

http://www.mot.com/SPS/ADC/pps/download/8XX/SVR4abippc.pdf

The former reference is a postscript draft dated July 25, 1994.
The later is in PDF format and looks to be a final version dated
September 1995. It is also page reversed.

Other useful stuff may be found in

ftp://ftp.linuxppc.org/linuxppc/docs/

Note that some of these are in postscript format. Use the ghostscript
rpm (also on the same site) to read them on-screen, or print them
to an appropriate printer.
