New Item: NEED A PASCAL COMPILER FOR LINUX PPC
Hi,
I just installed LinucPPC 2000 onto a macG4 and I need to compile some pascal programs but it seems there is no compiler that came with PPC. I tried the pc command, nothing happens. So: 1.) IS there a compiler that uses a different command that I dont know about, or 2.) Whats a good compiler to download?
I'm not too great at scripting yet, so something that self installs with a make command or shell script would be best.
Thanks.

Don't know if it runs on PPC, but try free Pascal (freepascal.org)
Also, try gnu pascal from http://agnes.dida.physik.uni-essen.de/~gnu-pascal/
(found by searching freshmeat.net for "pascal"

I'm Free Pascal core developper, and there is no PPC support yet.
Currently the codegenerator is being restructured to allow addition of other processor targets.
I already bought an old Pmac (a Performa 5200) for testing FPC/PPC when it starts running, which is why I'm here, but this will all take quite some time till completion.
