These pages contain the panel presentation "Partial Evaluation: Have Your Extensibility, And Specialize It, Too!" given at the Seventh Workshop on Hot Topics in Operating Systems (HotOS-VII) in Rio Rico, Arizona, March 29, 1999. The accompanying paper is available here.

This is a write-up of what I remember saying (or trying to say) at my panel presentation. Of course, it reflects hindsight and the fact that I had time to think and write carefully; but the plot is essentially unchanged. I tried to [bracket] things that didn't make it into the content of the talk, but that I would have elaborated on had I had the time.
