Can I really run Linux/PPC? (or, Hardware Compatibility)
Yes, most PowerMacs can run Linux/PPC. The only exceptions are the original PowerMacs that are Nubus based: the 6100, 7100, 8100. And the Powerbook 5300. If you have one of the Nubus machines, then MkLinux (http://www.mklinux.org/) is for you.
Then there's the other architectures (Non-PowerMac) that can run Linux/PPC: Beboxen, RS-6000, embedded systems, Motorola PowerPC machines, Amiga PowerPC upgraded machines, and others.
