Will the Performa 6360 or PowerMac 6400 work when upgraded with the NewerTech G3 Card?
Had it installed on a 6100 previous to a G3 upgrade using the Sonnet Crescendo, (a few minutes ago). Card seems to help in MacOS but can't quite tell in Linux, it still runs but I need to dig to see if Linux will recognize the new processor. Any ideas out there? Do I need a reinstall?

To get the Sonnet Crescendo G3 L2 or PCI upgrade cards to work, you need to change the 'Type' of the Crescendo estension. Using 'Resedit', 'FileBuddy', or an appropriate utility, change the 'Type' from "INIT" to "scri" (just like the 'BootX' extension). Now the Crescendo extension loads first, switching to the G3 card before anything else loads. I have had complete stability for over a week now. I am using a UMAX C600 with the Sonnet 300 G3 L2.

Probably - provided this is the NewerTech card that fits in the processor's L2 Cache. I posted this recently upon the Yahoo! Group "starmax-talk" as the machine I run is a StarMax 3000/160:
This is a general informational message of my findings concerning use of the MAXpowr G3-L2 on a StarMax 3000/160 running Debian Linux.
This card does work without drivers from NewerTech (which has gone out of business). I tested all 16 of the possible DIP Switch Settings using this card. Only two allowed me to boot into Linux:
Pins 1-4 1,0,0,1 -- 100 MHz (according to /proc/cpuinfo) 1,1,0,0 -- 40 MHz (according to /proc/cpuinfo)
The other pin configurations either made the system non- bootable (not even the 'power-on' sound) or threw me into the OpenFirmware console and I could not boot Linux from it (as normal).
The following calculations were done using the 100 MHz pin configuration (1,0,0,1):
w/o card: 106.99 bogomips w/ card: 199.97 bogomips (187%)
