How do I print to my Stylewriter 4100 ?
1. Dont install the lpstyl package, it doesnt seem to work for the 4100
2. Make sure lpr and Ghostscript are installed. You can get these from
the ftp.linuxppc.org site or any of its mirrors.
** For some reason postscript printing will only work with ghostscript 3.33 ** ** Version 5 gives an unrecoverable error - ( Im guessing its the filter )**
3. Make sure that the redhat printtool is installed along with the
   rhs-printerfilters.
4. Set up the serial port on your powermac as follows:
        a. edit /etc/rc.d/rc.sysinit or rc.local (I used rc.sysinit) and add the
           following line:

stty 57600 raw -echo crtscts </dev/cua1
5. Save and reboot the machine to enable the port settings
6. In X, use the redhat printtool to set up a new local printer:
        a. choose local printer
        b. name it lp
        c. printer device is /dev/cua1 in LinuxPPC
7. Choose a filter:

        a. Select the HP DeskJet 550C/560C/6xxC series
        b. Make sure that all the printing options are selected (fix stair
stepping, send EOF, fast text printing)
        c. Make Sure the Suppress Headers box is checked
8. Test
        a. Test using the ascii and postscript functions from the redhat
           printtool
        b. You can control print quaility (color etc.) by selecting the
options you like from the HP 550C/560C/6xxC printer filter choices
in redhat printtool.
        c. You can also enable other GS print options at this stage in printtool
           if so desired
9. You may need to start the printing daemon from the command line. If so type:

        # lpc
        lpc>enable all
        lpc>up all

This should start the daemon and enable queing and printing in lpr. See the
man pages for additional help. I only had to do this once.
10. Retest the printer using the redhat printtool.
11. You should now be able to print both ascii and postscript flawlessly.
12. Consider installing the GNU enscript or the a2ps packages for ascii to
    postscript conversion.
13. Enjoy !!
