'Kernel cannot read extended partitions' solution for install |
| During install, the redhat installer reports that the kernel cannot read
extended paritions and needs to be rebooted. Rebooting doesnt help. Solution: Name your partitions (which should be of type Apple_UNIX_SRV2, but that should be done for you if you use the 'c' command in pdisk) with names that linux will be able to mount, such as '/root', '/usr', and '/swap'. Using names such as 'swap' (without the leading slash) will cause this error. gedanken@io.com | |
