My MOTD keeps getting reset!
For anyone who doesn't know, the Message Of The Day (aka MOTD) is the message that appears right after you log in. This can easily be changed to whatever you like by editing /etc/motd.

However, in MkLinux pre-DR3, it gets overwritten at every startup by the startup script /etc/rc.d/rc.local. Edit this script and delete or comment out anything that overwrites /etc/motd (look for lines like 'echo "blah blah blah" > /etc/motd/').
