(Answer) (Category) Linux on PowerPC FAQ-O-Matic :
Where are good places to get precompiled binaries for my Mac Linux box?
Each category below represents a separate collection maintained by
different parties, so if you're looking for a particular binary,
try all three collections (any mirror of each one). You might also
try looking for a standard Linux source distribution; most things
compile easily under Mac Linuxes.

MkLinux site:
  ftp://ftp.mklinux.org/
  ftp://ftp.linuxppc.org/mirrors/MkLinux

MkArchive site:
  http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/Linux/mklinux/mklinux/
  ftp://ftp.ou.edu/mirrors/linux/mklinux/info/index.html (U of Oklahoma)
  http://mac26.src.ncu.edu.tw/MkArchive/info/index.html (Taiwan)

(Unofficial) RedHat ppc site:
  ftp://ftp.linuxppc.org/RedHat/
  ftp://uiarchive.uiuc.edu/pub/systems/linux/linuxppc/RedHat
  ftp://samba.anu.edu.au/pub/linux-pmac/RedHat

Linuxppc site:
  ftp://ftp.linuxppc.org/linuxppc/
  ftp://wuarchive.wustl.edu/systems/linux/linuxppc/
  ftp://uiarchive.uiuc.edu/pub/systems/linux/linuxppc/linuxppc
  http://www.cs.us.es/archive/linuxppc/ (Europe)

Misc:
  ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/ppc/ (redhat.com)
http://findrpm.net (lists a large number of rpm packages)

These mirrors listings are likely to go out of date. If you see one out
of date, please correct it! Thanks.
