OpenFirmware Variables for PowerMac 6500
I spent some time trying to get my PMac 6500 to boot into pmac-linux off of my internal IDE hard drive. Here are the OpenFirmware boot variables that finally worked for me.

boot-device: "ata/ata-disk@0:7" (insert your root partition for 7)

boot-file: "/vmlinux root=/dev/hda7" (replace 7 again...)

input-device: "kbd"

output-device: "/bandit/ATY,264GT-B" (screen alias is broken...)

Do not enter quotes into the Boot Variables control panel.

Hope this helps people!

yea, but what would be the correct variables for a SCSI disk at ID 1? scsi/sd@1:0 does NOT work.
