Performa 6360 - Can't find insmod?
I'm stuck.
Seeing as I don't know a great deal about linux to begin with, having a fully operational installer would be great... unfortunately, not the case here.
I'm running (as stated) a Performa 6360, and everything works, except for one thing...
I installed a 3com 3c905 10/100 ethernet card into the PCI slot on the box. When I told installation what kind of card it was, it attempted to use insmod, but couldn't find it.
"I can't find /bin/insmod!"
As a result, I have a fully operational system, with no net access, making it completely useless to me. Using the 'Command + ->' combo, I checked /bin, and found insmod there.
Anyone have a clue as to how I could go about fixing this little problem?

UPDATE:
I pulled out the motherboard, and replaced the 3com 3c509 with the Dayna Communications "BlueStreak" card I had never heard of before, and it worked.
Which brings up another question: Why would this card I've never heard of before work, yet the 3com 3c509, which was the first listing in alphabetical order of drivers for network cards on this distribution not?
