usbcore: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-101)
Hello, I have a dual G4 with 450 MHz in speed. I try to install PPC Linux 2000 on my second hard disk, which is already partitioned. Whild starting up the two hard disk, the CD-ROM and the ZIP drive are assigned. Than comes the following: USB new device connect, assigned device number 1 usbcore: USB device not responding, giving up (error=-101) hdc lost interrupt hdc lost interrupt hdc ATAPI DVD-rom ...... hdd lost interrupt ..... After the error=-101 the CD-ROM and the ZIP drive seem to be lost. However the CD-ROM is recovered somehow, but the ZIP drive is gone. Nothing could help to get out of the error message situation. I disconnected all USB devices, but it did not help. However the G4 has a USB 4-port PDI card from Belkin installed. Maybe this card makes the problem. But who can tell me more? Thanks Thomas, NJ
