I get the same error. I put in a Maxtor 10G Hard drive as an upgrade from the 4Gb one. I have iMac Rev. b., 96MB RAM. When I first put the new drive in, I was able to use the yaBoot boot up. I used Disk Druid for my drive partitioning. Everything went fine until the install was about finished, then it crashed. From that point, I had to go to the MacOS config. for install. From this point on, I had to use the Bootx. I had to install a small partition for MacOS, using the Mac Disk Setup to partition the drive. This time, I could not use the Disk Druid, I have to use fdisk, and I get the same error you get with pdisk when I write the partitions. ( Drive is not ready ). I am going to put in a call to YellowDog folks and get some help. I'll document what I do and pass it along. Good Luck, T. Smith tgs2101@aol.com tgs2101@aol.com | |
