Trouble installing on a Lombard
Hi...
I've been trying unsuccessfully to install Q3 from the distribution cd on my new lombard the past few days. The trouble I'm running into is that none of the kernals seem to recognize that there is a hard drive located at "hda". The CDROM at hdc is recognized, but the actual hard drive of my lombard is ignored. Is my hard drive missing a driver or something?
Anyone else have this problem, and maybe solved it?
Thanks, Rocco

I am having the same problem. Here's my situation. I backed up my PB, repartitioned so that swap=128, root=1.4. I can see the partitions with pdisk, from both the macos side and the xinstaller. but the x installer doesn't find the partitons, and neither does the redhat installer. so i'm in a quandry.

I've had the exact same problems. The installers don't recognize the /hda hard drive. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

btw - Lomard 400, 196MB, 6GB (1.5GB for Linux, 80MB for swap), OS 9.0.4. Could this be a HD driver issue?
