Boot freeze on Starmax 4000 (PCI bridge bandit...)
I tried installing the Pre-DR3 (2 June 1998) but my Starmax 4000 freezes while booting the Mach kernel. It must find the kernel in the mach_servers folder, because it claims to boot Mach 3. I get a message about the amount of memory available, 64 M (which is correct), and then I get the following:
PCI bridge bandit at 0xf2000000: covers PCI bus 0 to 1. Status = 57
This is repeated once and then the machine freezez (it all happens quickly). I do have a PCI card for fast and slow ethernet, but that should be pretty common with Starmaxen, as there's no built-in ethernet. Does anyone know of a fix or a workaround? Thanks.
